While I was pregnant, I specifically remember telling my husband not to buy me a 'push present'. If you don't know what that is, it's basically a gift your husband gives you for pushing your baby out. Lol, it's kind of silly... I mean I felt like my baby was a present in herself. I told him not to spend the money but of course he was bound and determined to get me something (I really had no idea what he had been up to).
To my surprise (and I'll admit even though I told him not to get me anything, I was thrilled to receive the gift he had found) he had bought me a necklace. But not just any necklace, a handmade personalized necklace from an artist that I had been admiring on Etsy for a while.
This melted my heart:
He had her name put on it so I can always have little Mabel with me!
Well, it's safe to say that I'm in love with the artist, Lisa of Under Her Charm - Hand Stamped Jewelry. She makes an amazing and unique line of jewelry that ranges from 'family necklaces' to bracelets, rings, and a few items for pet lovers. This has to be my favorite family necklace ever! I want my husband to put the year of our marriage, the little dog tag with our initials, an M for Mabel along with the day she was born and then her birth stone hanging from it! If you have more than one child, you can get more initials with birth dates on them. Such a wonderful idea!!!
